The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko announced the end of the ceasefire.

At the last moment the Ukrainian side refused publication of the approved document, stating that they are ready to go for it only after establishing unconditional bilateral ceasefire.

"Such a step Kiev causes deep regret, the more that four-sided Declaration just called to influence on parties in order to reach an early agreement in the Contact group. In addition, the Ukrainian side in the categorical form has demanded convocation of the Contact group on the Russian territory and not in Donetsk, which hosted the previous meeting," reads the statement reads.

"It seems that the change of position of Kiev, including the Declaration on the night of 1 July about the non-renewal of the ceasefire regime, was not without influence from outside in spite of the positions of the leading EU members",

Russian diplomats "Call to refrain from imposing criminal line on the violent suppression of protests. All should be guided primarily by the task immediately to put an end to bloodshed, to ensure sustainable ceasefire and the beginning of the subject and open negotiations on the future of the Ukrainian state considering interests of all its citizens and regions", - informs the foreign Ministry.

Quadripartite Declaration would make a significant contribution to achieving these goals, the document says.

"We are convinced that efforts to return the situation in the negotiation direction should be continued, including the urgent convening of a Liaison group. Will do our best to contribute to this. If common sense prevails and the truce will be resumed, it is ready together with partners, to start implementation of the agreements set forth in the agreed but not yet effective for the position of the Kyiv Declaration"

In turn, the official representative of US state Department Jen Psaki said yesterday at the daily press briefing that the United States will support any decision of the Kiev authorities, whether the extension of the ceasefire regime or its complete abolition.

But on the night of July 1, the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko announced the end of the ceasefire in the East of the country. At night the law-enforcers attacked the positions of the rebels in the district of Donetsk and Gorlovka. On the morning of July 1, Ukrainian media reported about the beginning of a tank battle near the village of Karlovka 15 kilometers from Donetsk.
