New York taxi driver attacked a Russian businessman



A taxi driver in new York beat the 75-year-old businessman from Russia Vladimir Zakharov, when he refused to pay $149 for the trip from the first to the second terminal of the airport of a name of John Kennedy, reports The New York Daily News.

It is reported that the incident occurred on Friday around 4 a.m. local time. For two-minute journey the taxi driver asked the Russians to pay $149. After the businessman refused to do so, the taxi driver, according to the victim, has locked all the doors. Russian tried to grab the keys from the driver, but the one smote him in the face. According to police, after that the Russians had managed to get out of the car and he began to call for help.

The driver was detained, he filed several charges including false imprisonment, assault, and extortion. Previously, he was repeatedly arrested on similar charges. Russian businessman after the incident has left home.
